Polytetrafluoroethylene film

It is a polymer material film made from polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) as the raw material. Polytetrafluoroethylene film has excellent heat and cold resistance, and can be used under extreme temperature conditions. Its chemical properties are very stable and do not react with most chemicals, so it is widely used in various industrial fields. Polytetrafluoroethylene films can be divided into two categories, including PTFE porous films and PTFE turning films. PTFE porous membrane is a new type of air filtration material suitable for absorbing suspended particles in the purification room air or other gases in the semiconductor industry. PTFE turning film is suitable for insulation of electrical instruments, wire insulation, and sealing pads.

Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) film is a polymer material film made from PTFE as the raw material. Polytetrafluoroethylene color film is a type of polytetrafluoroethylene directional or non directional color film made by adding a certain amount of colorant to a suspended polytetrafluoroethylene resin, molding, sintering, and then turning and rolling it into thirteen colors, including red, green, blue, yellow, purple, brown, black, orange, and white. Although a certain amount of coloring agent is added to polytetrafluoroethylene colored films, they still have good electrical insulation properties and are suitable for insulation and classification identification of wires, cables, and electrical components.

The characteristics and advantages of PTFE film

Non-stick: PTFE is a material with extremely low surface energy, giving it excellent non-stick properties. Almost nothing sticks to the PTFE surface, making it an excellent anti-stick coating material. This also means that PTFE films can reduce friction and wear in many applications.

Chemical Resistance: PTFE membrane has excellent resistance to a wide range of chemicals. It can withstand the erosion of acids, alkalis, solvents and various corrosive substances, so it is widely used in the chemical industry.

Temperature resistance: PTFE film has excellent temperature resistance. It can remain soft and elastic at extremely low temperatures and can work in high temperature environments for long periods of time without melting or decomposing. Common PTFE films can be used in a temperature range of -200°C to +260°C.

Electrical insulation: PTFE film is an excellent electrical insulation material with extremely low dielectric constant and dielectric loss. This makes PTFE films widely used in electronics and electrical engineering, such as capacitors, cable insulation and high-frequency circuits.

Mechanical Strength: Although PTFE is a soft material, it has high tensile strength and tear resistance. PTFE film has excellent mechanical properties among film materials and can resist certain physical stress and deformation.

Transparency: PTFE film has excellent transparency and high light transmittance. This makes PTFE films potentially useful in optical and display devices.

Application of PTFE film:

Electrical applications. Due to its excellent electrical insulation, PTFE film is used as an insulating material for wires, cables and electrical devices. It is also used to manufacture capacitor dielectrics, insulated cables, insulating liners, etc. It is especially suitable for electronic and electrical equipment such as micro motors, thermocouples, and control devices.

Air filtration. PTFE films can be used to make air filtration membranes. This kind of membrane has high porosity and low resistance. It is used for atmospheric dust removal, air purification, etc., and is widely used in vacuum cleaners, air filters, air purification equipment, etc.

Waterproof and breathable. The microporous structure of PTFE film makes it waterproof and breathable. This film is used to make special protective clothing such as military clothing, medical clothing, casual clothing, as well as outdoor sports equipment, sleeping bags, tents, etc.

Medical and pharmaceutical. The biocompatibility and easy cleaning properties of PTFE films make them widely used in the medical field, such as artificial blood vessels, surgical sutures, etc.

Aerospace. Due to its high temperature and low temperature resistance, polytetrafluoroethylene films have important applications in the aerospace field, such as sealing materials and insulation materials for spacecrafts.

Self-lubricating applications. The low friction coefficient and wear resistance of PTFE film make it suitable for self-lubricating materials such as bearings, guide rings, seals, etc.
